The newest update in the beta-test world is the new menu bar and the new front page.
I really don't mind the change to the menu bar. It's less clustered than it was.
**UPDATE** I believe I'm experiencing a bug with the front page.
**UPDATE 2** They fixed the front page. As a beta tester, this is what I see:
They are testing out a new activity feed where users can post status updates and see what's happening with the people they watch. As far as I can tell, it pretty much acts as my inbox, so I feel like the features are pointless. When someone posts a new deviation or journal, it shows up in the activity feed, but it also shows up in my inbox. If anything, this new feature carries a bit of redundancy. The status updates -- well, I'm not really that interested in them because it's a reminder of Facebook, and I don't really even do them that much on Facebook.
However, I do still have the option to browse, and luckily that page hasn't changed too much:
So rejoice! The browsing experience hasn't been taken from us!
All in all, I feel like the Activity Feed and Status Updates are highly and extremely unnecessary on a site like this. This isn't the same type of social media as Facebook and Twitter, and it doesn't need to transform into something like that.
